NewField IT is an independent software and services company operating out of the UK and the US but providing a global service. As such we recognize that with globalization of business, standards and ethics must be maintained regardless of geography.

NewField IT employs industry leading best practices, managed to ISO9001 standards to maintain the quality of our services and help clients conserve energy and reduce carbon emissions through balanced print output fleet deployments that utilize the best of breed RoHS directive and Energystar compliant products. Further environmental benefits include reduced paper and consumable volumes, which impact landfill and CO2 volumes. We ensure compliance of our suppliers through an environmental survey every two years unless there are specific changes in circumstances.

The NewField IT culture is based upon the principles of empowerment, fairness and respect overlaid with "family values" and a single guiding sentence… "Do the right thing."

We encourage environmental awareness, with in house recycling and energy management and sponsor and offset our carbon emissions with the registered charity Excellent Development, which enables communities in Africa to transform their environment sustainably and improve water supplies, food production, health and incomes through the planting of medicinal and protected trees. We plant 4 trees per employee per annum.

We operate a meritocracy within NewField IT. We have a zero tolerance policy regarding discrimination of any type. We expect an ethical approach to business both internally and with suppliers and customers where we deliver on promises and do not accept any bribery or other corruption. Harassment or abuse of staff by co-workers or customers is not acceptable.

After providing software and services to 34 countries worldwide we recognize that there are business advantages to using resources outside a domestic setting. We provide consulting on outsourcing and outsource some software development ourselves. With both our advice in this area and our own use of overseas or domestic resource we have the following guidelines:

  1. Working conditions should be no less than what we would find acceptable in our domestic market. This includes working hours and the working environment
  2. Workers are treated fairly. They are remunerated in accordance with fair local rates, are employed under their own free will and are free to join trade unions or other collective bargaining organizations.
  3. Overseas facilities are regularly visited to ensure the adherence to standards.
